My Path to becoming a Reiki Healer

I first heard of Reiki years ago, and to be honest, I was skeptical at the time. I thought, how could Reiki be beneficial if the practitioner only touches you gently, or not at all?
It was through sudden, sweeping loss and immense grief that I was to learn about the deep healing power of Reiki. Our oldest child, a mom herself, tragically died in a car accident. In an instant, a cavernous hole had been blown through our family and community. The loss of our daughter completely knocked me off my axis. The shock and pain was indescribable.
During this time I turned to Reiki. To my relief, the sessions were immensely helpful. I continued with Reiki, encouraged by my progress. It was such a relief to begin to recognize myself again.
My healing experience was so profound it inspired me to take Reiki classes. Suffering comes in so many forms: loss, anger, fear, pain, stress, and more, afflicting our spirit, mind, and body. I wanted to learn how to help myself and others regain and maintain their wellbeing.
“Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it.” – Helen Keller
Her words are so empowering! It is my desire to help fully awaken the healing power within us all.
I am, by nature, a deeply nurturing, empathetic person. Being a mom, wife, friend and community member, has enriched my life. Energy healing has shown me new levels of compassion for myself and others. Having completed Reiki classes (and years of study and practice) I am joyfully a Certified Reiki Master.
Appreciating how the body continually strives for health, offering a space for healing on so many levels, I am touched when a client shares the transformation they experience as a result of receiving Reiki.
For me, Reiki has been a gift that profoundly changed my life. My wish is to share this gift with all who are open to receiving it. I offer Reiki energy healing with an open heart, light, and deep gratitude for the understanding that we are not alone and that LOVE has a boundless ability to HEAL.

“LOVE enables us to see things that cannot be seen without love. The eyes of COMPASSION are also the eyes of understanding. Compassion is the sweet water that springs forth from the source of UNDERSTANDING. To practice looking deeply is the basic medicine for anger, hatred, and fear.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh
